1. Who we are and what this policy covers
The Bogey Club (“the Club”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates a golf simulator lounge and bar at 17705 Leslie Street, Unit 5, Newmarket, Ontario, and the website at https://thebogeyclub.com/ (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you use the Website, contact us, book with us, or take part in our leagues, lessons, events and programs. “Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual.
We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable laws. By using the Website or giving us your personal information, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect

- Contact and enquiry forms: your name, email, phone number, the topic and your message.
- Lesson requests: your name, contact details, experience level, what you’d like to work on and when you’re available.
- Bookings, leagues and events: details needed to book a bay, karaoke, a private event or a league or tournament spot, such as your name, contact details, date and time, group size and payment status.

Information collected automatically
When you visit the Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent on pages, the page you came from, and general location (city or region). This is collected using cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).
Information from partners
When you book or register through one of our partner platforms (see section 5), that platform shares the details we need to deliver your booking or registration with us.
At the Club
Our golf simulators record shot data (such as ball speed, launch, spin and distance) and may record swing video while you play or take a lesson. We use this only to run the simulators, your lessons and our leagues and tournaments (for example, scores and leaderboards).
3. How we use your information

- To provide, confirm and manage bookings, lessons, leagues, tournaments, events and programs, including scores, results and prizes.
- To process payments through our payment and booking providers.
- To send service messages, such as confirmations, reminders, schedule changes and receipts.
- With your consent, to send our newsletter and offers (see section 7).
- To understand how the Website is used and improve it.
- To keep the Website and the Club secure and prevent fraud or misuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We only use your information for the purposes we collected it for, or for purposes you consent to or that the law permits or requires.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it:
- With service providers who help us run the Club and the Website, such as website hosting, form and email delivery, booking and league management, payments, our online shop and our newsletter provider. They may only use your information to provide their service to us and must protect it.
- Where the law requires or permits it, for example to comply with a court order or legal process, collect a debt, or protect the rights, property or safety of the Club, our guests or others.
- In a business transaction, such as a sale, merger or reorganization of all or part of the Club, subject to confidentiality protections.
We may share aggregated information that does not identify anyone, for example general usage trends.
5. Partner platforms and links
Some features on the Website take you to, or are provided by, other companies, including:
- Golf Booking (thebogeyclub.golfbooking.ca) for bay and karaoke bookings;
- Golf Genius for league registration and scoring;
- Shopify for our online shop (shop.thebogeyclub.com);

When you use these services, the information you give them is handled under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. We are not responsible for their practices.
Some of our service providers and partners store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.
6. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our providers may use them to keep the Website working (for example, forms and security), remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Website through analytics tools such as Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works.
7. Emails and your choices
We only send our newsletter and promotional emails if you have agreed to receive them, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us. Even if you unsubscribe, we may still send service messages about your bookings, lessons or league registration.
8. Children and youth programs
The Website is intended for adults. Some of our programs, such as lessons and camps, are open to young players. For anyone under the age of majority, we collect information from a parent or guardian and use it only to run that program and keep participants safe. A parent or guardian can contact us at any time to see, correct or delete their child’s information. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the Website.
9. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). We then securely delete it or make it anonymous. We may keep anonymous, aggregated information for any legitimate business purpose.
10. How we protect your information
We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use or disclosure, and we limit access to people who need it to do their jobs. No website or system is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information (such as full payment card numbers) by email or through our forms.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, and give you access to it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information, where we are not required to keep it; and
- withdraw your consent, for example to marketing emails. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some services.
To make a request, email our privacy officer at cam@thebogeyclub.com. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within 30 days, and access requests are free of charge in most cases. If a fee ever applies, we will tell you in advance. In limited cases the law allows us to refuse access, for example where information is subject to legal privilege or is part of a legal proceeding; if so, we will explain why.
12. Questions and complaints
We have a privacy officer who is responsible for this policy. If you have a question or concern, please contact:
